Genetically modified organisms (GMO) – Detailed insights on GMO regulations in the Russian Federation

Food or feed consisting of, produced from, or containing GMOs are subject to labelling in many regions but authorisations and thresholds differ around the world. Many countries have even set a legal 0% tolerance resp. low tolerance limits for unauthorised GMOs and their content in food and feed. In order to ensure a smooth export to the respective target markets, thorough knowledge of their GMO regulations is an essential prerequisite for the marketability of your products.

When it comes to the Russian Federation, there are important differences concerning GMO regulations compared to the European Union. As a consequence, unlabeled or mislabeled goods as well as the exceedance of thresholds for unregistered GMOs are currently causing trade problems for feed producers and exporters all over Europe.

In this webinar the differences in the GMO regulations between the EU and Russia will be presented and explained. The webinar will raise awareness of the different regulatory frameworks and train companies involved in exporting to the Russian Federation so that they are able to make an informed decision about which analytical approach is best suited for their needs.

This webinar is jointly presented by Way2Trade and Eurofins. At the end of the webinar there will be time for your individual questions in a Q&A session.
