German-Arab Health Conference - Enabling Saudi Arabia's Healthcare Transformation

The purpose of the German-Arab Health Conference is to exchange ideas on the transformation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s health system through cooperation between a variety of actors from Saudi Arabia and Germany. Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 is an ambitious set of targets that brings with it a variety of opportunities for Saudi Arabia’s health system and the healthcare industry.

The overarching aim of the conference is to improve the understanding of the challenges and opportunities that Saudi Arabia’s healthcare transformation entails, and where Saudi Arabia and Germany can work together to meet these challenges and to take advantage of the opportunities. In order to achieve the conference’s aim, it is crucial that Saudi-Arabian representatives from all healthcare sectors will join the conference to engage with their German counterparts. Representatives from the German government such as the Minister of the Economy and Energy, Brigitte Zypries, will attend the conference, as will representatives of the German Federal Ministry of Health, German healthcare companies, and members of the German health research landscape.

The conference programme is tailored along four major areas of opportunity in this transformation, to be discussed in small breakout sessions to maximise participation of the conference participants:

    • healthcare regulation
    • privatization in healthcare
    • diagnostics & digitalization
    • new delivery models to support population health.

Representatives from Saudi Arabia’s public health system, healthcare industry, and research will meet their German counterparts to deliberate where the two countries and its different sectors can collaborate to harness the opportunities of this transformation. In addition, broader sections such as “Improving Patient Outcomes & Modernising a Healthcare System with Economic Returns” and “The Future of Healthcare” are designed to give the conference participants an overview of areas associated with such transformations.

The German-Arab Health Conference promises to be a stimulating forum to share and discuss ideas and we look forward to hosting you in Berlin.

    The conference language is English.
Ticket cancellation will be accepted at latest by 12th October 2017.
