Business Breakfast: Norway - The Guest of Honour presents itself
Jo Nesbø, Karl Ove Knausgård, Maja Lunde – there’s scarcely a country in the world where these bestselling authors from the far north aren’t read. Yet, there are many more to be discovered and published abroad. Over coffee and croissants, Margit Walsø and Halldór Gudmundsson talk about how publishers and editors find these authors and their books, what opportunities exist for translation funding and what other marketing measures Norway is planning as part of its appearance as Guest of Honour.

Business Breakfast: Our vision for the industry. Networking for newcomers
The Frankfurt Book Fair now rewards innovative young talent in seven countries, in cooperation with their respective industry magazines. After presenting their visions for the future of the book and media industry at the Business Club, these promising newcomers will discuss them with the audience over coffee and croissants.

Business Breakfast: Literary festivals - a worldwide celebration
Whether dedicated to crime fiction, poetry or comics, whether in the country or city, whether small-but-sophisticated or mass event – for some time now, literature festivals have been enjoying growing international popularity. Three very different festival creators from Germany, Spain and Canada share their best and worst practice experiences over coffee and croissants.

Business Breakfast: Meet the 2017 Paris-Frankfurt Fellows - young publishing talents from Germany and France
Join us and meet young publishing talent from France and Germany! As part of France’s participation as Guest of Honour 2017, we are pleased to invite you to coffee and croissants with alumni of the Paris-Frankfurt Fellowship 2017 – an excellency programme organised by the DFJW, BIEF, and Frankfurter Buchmesse.
