Defining your target group

  1. Determine your target group by defining different criteria:
    • Country
    • Region
    • Age
    • Gender
    • Career level
    • Industry
    • Discipline
    • Company size
  2. Set geographic restrictions for your target group using the Radius tab. Define a radius around the town/city (distance can be set between 10km and 150km).
  3. Select attendees based on keywords that are assigned to XING users. To do this, enter the search terms in the keyword search box.
  4. Make sure that you have checked the box next to Expand target group.

Tip: Less is more! Define your target group as precisely as possible so that you reach the XING users that are interested in your message. The slider on the right-hand side shows you how many users you will reach with your current targeting settings and helps you assess the size of your target group.
