Finding out who has visited your event page

  1. On your XING event page, click on the Visitors tab. This will show you which XING members have visited your event page. You can also see the number of visits.
     
  2. Data can be displayed in two different ways:
    • Filter your visitors according to their invitation status:

      • All visitors
      • Not invited yet
      • Already invited
    • Sort your visitors according to the number of times they have visited your page:

      • Recently visited
      • Number of visits first

Contacting event page visitors

  1. On your XING event page, click on the Visitors tab.
  2. You can invite XING members who have visited your event page by clicking on Write invitation.
  3. Click on Write event update to post news about your event. These posts will be shown on the landing page of your event page visitors.

Inviting several visitors at once

  1. Go to Visitors onyour event page and click on Write invitation.
     
  2. Now either click on Select all or filter the list of visitors to display the relevant ones, and then click on Select all. You can filter according to:
    • Name
    • Position
    • Company
    • City
  3. Enter your customised invitation message in the field. Make sure that your message does not exceed 1,000 characters and that you don’t include any links.
     
  4. Click on Send invitation

Inviting visitors one at a time

  1. Go to Visitors on your event page and click onInvite next to the name of the person you wish to invite.
  2. Enter your customised invitation message in the field. Make sure that your message does not exceed 1,000 characters and that you don’t include any links.
  3. Click on Send invitation.

Please note: You can only send visitors one invitation per event.

Tips for creating customised invitations

  1. Address your visitors by name (you can only do this if sending one invitation at a time).
  2. Choose an appealing tag line and start off by including key details or event highlights.
  3. Compose an engaging message and avoid conventional invitation phrases.
  4. Keep your invitation as short as possible.
  5. Include your special offer codes in your event invitation, e.g. for a general discount or student concession.
  6. If you are organising an event collection or a series of events, mention the different dates so that visitors can choose the date that suits them best.

Checklist – make sure your invitation contains:

  • The title of the event
  • The location
  • The date/period
  • Event highlights
