Inviting event page visitors
Inviting several visitors at once
- Go to Visitors onyour event page and click on Write invitation.
- Now either click on Select all or filter the list of visitors to display the relevant ones, and then click on Select all. You can filter according to:
- Name
- Position
- Company
- City
- Enter your customised invitation message in the field. Make sure that your message does not exceed 1,000 characters and that you don’t include any links.
- Click on Send invitation
Inviting visitors one at a time
- Go to Visitors on your event page and click onInvite next to the name of the person you wish to invite.
- Enter your customised invitation message in the field. Make sure that your message does not exceed 1,000 characters and that you don’t include any links.
- Click on Send invitation.
Please note: You can only send visitors one invitation per event.
Tips for creating customised invitations
- Address your visitors by name (you can only do this if sending one invitation at a time).
- Choose an appealing tag line and start off by including key details or event highlights.
- Compose an engaging message and avoid conventional invitation phrases.
- Keep your invitation as short as possible.
- Include your special offer codes in your event invitation, e.g. for a general discount or student concession.
- If you are organising an event collection or a series of events, mention the different dates so that visitors can choose the date that suits them best.
Checklist – make sure your invitation contains:
- The title of the event
- The location
- The date/period
- Event highlights
