No, the participants do no need to be XING members to register for your event.

If they are and they choose to connect to XING during the registration process to your event, they will have access to the attendee area. In the attendee area they can find their ticket, the invoices again or further information which you can enter to be visible only in the attendee area.

You can obtain further information about your attendees using the ‘Request attendee data’ feature. You can also request feedback from your attendees and evaluate customer data for marketing purposes.

1. Select the event that you wish to edit.
    
2. Go to the menu item Set up ticket sales and click on Request attendee data.
    
3. Click on Ticket data and define which fields should appear on the ticket. You can:
   • collect personalised attendee data
   • print the attendee’s name on the ticket
   • decide whether the attendee can change the name on the ticket
4. Check the fields corresponding to the data you want to collect.
    
5. The Add additional field option enables you to set up new fields:
   • In Settings of the new field, select the type of field.
   • Enter a title for your field and add a short description, e.g. a question.
   • Check the box in front of Use a default value, to show attendees a sample response.
6. Determine which fields are mandatory for your attendees and define when these should be visible.
    
7. At the end of the page, you can decide whether attendees can edit their own data once they have completed their purchase.
    
8. You have the option to include your own terms and conditions: either provide a link to your terms and conditions or upload a separate file.
    
9. Click on Order data to create or edit the fields that you only want to display during the order process.

Please open in the event manager in the corresponding event the section attendee list:

• select the participants you would like to contact, tick the corresponding checkboxes next to the participants
• click on please select action --> send e-mail
• choose a subject, the salutation and insert your message

In order to refund a participant, please select the attendee list in your event on the left hand side:

• please choose the participant you would like to refund
• you can select to cancel either the complete order or process a partial cancellation
• in the cancellation process you can determine if you would like to refund the full invoice invoice amount or just a part. You can define individually the amount you would like to reimburse.

In case there is a chargeback, please note we charge 5 € as fees (excluding VAT).
